“We Need To Take Care of Our Black Women” A Tearful John Boyega On Why Black Women Must Be Protected At All Costs

John Boyega is a sight to see on and off the screen as he continues to shed light on racism in America.

 

The “Star Wars” actor first spoke out after the tragic death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers. He was clear in his disdain for racists and their praise of his work.

The United Kingdom native was amongst a passionate crowd of thousands who gathered in London’s Hyde Park. His passion for equality, especially when it comes to Black women, was so great he could barely hold back tears.

 

“Black men, we need to take care of our Black women! We need to take care of them! They’re ours! They’re ours! They’re our future! We cannot demonize our own!”

 

He continued with,

 

“We are the pillars of the family. Imagine this: a nation that is set up with individual families that are thriving, that are healthy, that communicate, that raise their children in love.”

 

Boyega also said his career may be at risk due to his very vocal take on racism but vows,  this won’t stop him.
