La La Anthony stays booked and busy! The Power star will produce a docuseries about Alabama State University’s plus-sized dance squad, the Honeybeez.
The Honeybeez of ASU will be a ten-part Snap Originals series that Anthony will exec produce through her LaLaLand production banner.
“The Honeybeez are an inspiration, not just among the HBCU dance scene, but to young dancers and performers everywhere,” said Anthony. “Their impact and success are a result of immense determination and talent, all while projecting strength, positivity, and love. We can’t wait for Snapchat’s audience to get to know these amazing young women.”
Launching on April 25, the series will follow Alabama University’s Honeybeez throughout their 2019-2020 season led by Coach Williams. Episodes will shed light on the squad’s journey as they showcase their talents on the biggest collegiate stages. Viewers will see everything from tryouts to performances as the Honeybeez work together to overcome challenges and criticisms.
