We are sad to report that Karl-Anthony Town’s mother has passed from complications from COVID-19.
She was 58.
In a statement from the family, they reflected on the loss of the matriarch of the Towns family saying “she was an incredible source of strength; fiery, caring, and extremely loving person, who touched everyone she met. Her passion was palpable and her energy will never be replaced.”

Holding back tears, NBA’s Karl-Anthony Towns reveals his mother has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus.
“I wanted to share this video so that people can know that the severity of this disease is real,” Towns expressed before sharing that his mother is in a medically-induced coma since contracting the virus. She is currently relying on a ventilator to breathe.
