Bernie Sanders has suspended his 2020 presidential campaign.
Today I am suspending my campaign. But while the campaign ends, the struggle for justice continues on. https://t.co/MYc7kt2b16

In a live stream earlier today, Sanders said: “If I believed we had a feasible path to the nomination, I would certainly continue the campaign, but it’s just not there.” The presidential hopeful also shared that this was a “difficult and painful” decision.
Sanders also used this time to point out his disagreement with employer-based health insurance, especially during the wake of a pandemic where many Americans have lost their jobs.
Although he resonated with the far-left faction of the Democratic party and young voters, Sanders couldn’t beat former Vice President Joe Biden who has been an early favorite.
Biden now has a clear path to receiving the Democratic nomination. The party hopes he will have a better chance of defeating President Donald Trump in the forthcoming November election.
